My Story
Howdy Hey There!!!
I am Mckeva (Mc-Key-Va) or affectionately known as Bunny ( there is a cute story behind that but I will save that for another time).
Here are a few things you might like to know about me...
- I am married to one pretty cool dude ( married for 13yrs. together for 20yrs.)
- We are parents to 3kids ( 2 girls & a boy) And we have one fur-kid, and no we don't dress him up. He wouldn't let us if we wanted to.
- Originally from the Big Apple aka The City That Never Sleeps, NYC. The transition has been overall a smooth process with just taking a little getting used to places closing down so early, well except for Walmart. Georgia has been home since September of 2012 and it has been the best decision that our family could have made.
Things that I love:
- I Love God
- I love my family, near and far
- I love my friends ( They are all such beautiful blessings )
- I love photography ( capturing images of people, places, and things)
- I love all things Wonder Woman
- I love the color teal (see logo)
- I love owls ( see logo again)
- I love to eat
- I love to sleep
- I love a lot...
It has been a long journey getting to this point. One filled with a lot of bumps and bruises and tons of tears (it can happen, trust me), along with a few times of calling it quits. Being a photographer is far more difficult than one might think. Especially to be one who truly cares about the quality of their work and not the number of clients that they have. I have had many disappointments and setbacks along this road. I put way too much focus on wanting to be like every other photographer that I lost focus on being the photographer that I am meant to be. Today, I am able to say with confidence that I am embracing the photographer that I am and only comparing myself to the photographer that I was yesterday ( Literally, like 24hrs ago). If you decide to hire me as your photographer, know that I am bringing my " A game" and possibly one of my munchkins as an assistant. Most importantly I am bringing my heartfelt passion and love for capturing your story through my lens!!!
Being a photographer for me is...
- All about capturing the things that my eyes can not hold on to.
- Making a personal connection with the people that I photograph.
- Capturing moments that eventually fades from one's mind.
- Making sure that an image tells the entire story when you look at it.
- Doing whatever it takes to get " THAT" shot, well within keeping everyone safe!!!
- Being able to do what I am passionate about.
